# NPC (Locals) can be take as hostages now.
This doesn't relate to the hostage scene, on the F10 menu, taking other players as hostages requires more cops on, but NPC has no cop limit.
# 4.7 Scene / Heist Limits
## 4.7.1 Kidnapping / Hostage & Small Robberies
### Kidnapping / Hostage-taking, Small robberies (Store, House, ATM, and Bank Truck), and all heists (excluding Merryweather) require the following:
### 1 on-duty LEOs for initiation, a limit of 4 criminals, and a limit of 6 LEOs may respond, this is the taking of your fellow citizens.
### There is no cop limit for taking a local (NPC) hostage.
